Body scanning products use the latest and safest technologies to detect hidden contraband that is not always detected by other security measures, including items that are hidden internally in body cavities or are non-metallic.

Visual inspection and pat downs are an uncomfortable process for all and if contraband is hidden internally, it will not be detected. Using a body scanner, inmates can be scanned in prison attire. The scanner can also scan items such as mattresses, footwear and clothing. Packages of drugs are routinely found but other items such as ceramic knives or lighters can be detected as well.

Body scanners are being used in prison facilities across Canada. When compared to many current search methods being used, body scanners have been shown to drastically reduced attempts of contraband being brought into a facility, making the environment safer for staff, inmates, and volunteers.
